All of today, added up
Time in all the apps you limited, added up across the day. It starts at 30 minutes.
Pet me
Screen time, for Mac and iPhone
Spend too long on social apps or games, and a cat slips onto your screen. Instead of locking you out, it gets in the way, adorably, until you stop.
First visit
It pokes its head in from an edge of the screen, blinks slowly, and backs away. Which edge is up to the cat.
Two more minutes in a limited app and it comes back
Second visit
It walks out of a bottom corner and sits down beside you. It grooms, tucks into a loaf, dozes and yawns, then leaves on its own.
One more minute in a limited app and it comes back
Third visit and after
It comes to the middle, pacing and meowing, and will not move until you pet it. Pet it once and it sends a heart and leaves.
Thirty more seconds and it is back. Closing or leaving the app sends it off too
Cats
It yawns, stretches, grooms and dozes, and sends a heart when you pet it. Pick one and every cat on this page changes too.
At a glance
Everything is set from one menu bar icon.
There is no code that could send anything.
On the Mac it asks for none at all.
Count the whole day, or one stretch at a time.
Ten minutes without input and the clock stops.
You see it meow, but it never makes a sound.
Orange tabby, tuxedo, gray tabby… pick your cat.
On iPhone it sits in front of the app through Screen Time.
iPhone
Use an app you limited for too long and the cat sits down in front of it. On iPhone, SaverCat works through Apple’s Screen Time.

Not on a Mac. The cat is a small window the size of the cat, so clicks outside it reach the app underneath. One pet always sends it away.
Open SaverCat’s menu in the menu bar and press “고양이 불러보기” (summon the cat). Press it again after the cat leaves and the next visit comes.
No. After 10 minutes without keyboard or mouse input, it stops counting until you are back.
Per day, 30 minutes. Choose per sitting and a 5-minute break starts the count over. All of it can be changed in the menu.
No. You will see it meow, but it never makes a sound.
Time is only counted in memory, so it starts again from zero when SaverCat quits.
None on a Mac. On iPhone, you allow Screen Time access on first launch.
No. Download it free, try it for 7 days, then one purchase keeps it on both Mac and iPhone.
